Text and Media in Schools

These guidelines have been developed to assist teachers and principals in making informed decisions when selecting spoken, written or visual text and media to be used by the school. There are legislative requirements regarding the Australian Classification Codes and copyright laws that schools must adhere to. Additionally, students and parents have the right to make a conscientious objection to a resource or program and the school will follow these guidelines to manage such objections.
