The Northern Territory (NT) Government, Department of Education and Training (department) leads the Emergency Shelter Group. The role of the Emergency Shelter Group is the overall coordination of the provision of emergency shelters and development of NT operational policies and plans in the preparation, response and recovery phases of an emergency.

The Emergency shelter online training is a self-paced course suitable for anyone who will work in emergency shelters as shelter managers, deputy shelter managers and shelter crew.
