Graduate Teacher Program

The Program is designed to support first year graduate teachers into the profession and to set them up for success in their teaching careers.

The Graduate Teacher Program aims to:

  • Build graduate teachers’ professional knowledge, practice, and engagement to further their capability as effective classroom teachers with a specific focus on culturally responsive practice and professional wellbeing.
  • Contribute to building graduate teachers’ teaching strategies with a specific focus on catering for a diverse range of learners.
  • Develop graduate teachers’ understanding of professional responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Support graduate teachers to follow protocols when interacting with the local community.
  • Build collegial support through a peer support network.
  • Enable effective mentor/mentee relationships.
  • Develop graduate teacher resilience, emotional wellbeing, and connection with other professionals.
