Latest updates

September 2024 – The policy has had a minor revision to provide clarity about A-E grading in section 6.4.2 and a change to 7.2 to align to SACE guidelines regarding late submissions.

The Department of Education and Training is committed to improving education outcomes for every child in the Northern Territory (NT) by optimising curriculum provision, using evidence-based curriculum planning, delivery and assessment practices, and ensuring integrity in all reporting and certification obligations.

The Curriculum, Assessment, Reporting and Certification policy enables principals, school leaders and educators in NT Government schools and approved services to understand and implement the legislated curriculum, assessment, reporting and certification requirements, appropriate to each main learning stage from birth to Year 12.

This policy ensures consistency and clarity of practice in all areas of curriculum, assessment, reporting and certification in all NT government schools.
