Nakara Primary School students rocking their sun smart uniforms in Term 2
Following collaborative efforts between the school community, council, student voice team and staff, Nakara Primary School introduced a new sun smart uniform option earlier this year.
This lightweight, UV‑protective design helps shield students from the sun while also supporting inclusivity. With 64% of students coming from multicultural backgrounds, the new uniforms accommodate those who prefer or need to wear long sleeves every day.
The uniform consultation was an impressive display of young voice, with students sharing thoughtful ideas to help their peers feel confident and comfortable at school.
