Celebrating our 2025 NTCET achievers
The Department of Education and Training is incredibly proud to share that on Monday 15 December 2025, the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) results were released with the Northern Territory recording a total of 1,536 students from both government and non-government schools who successfully received their Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET).
This is an increase of 68 students from 2024, with the results providing a strong reflection of the hard work, dedication and focus of our senior secondary students across the NT, as well as the commitment of their families, teachers and schools.
An impressive 6 students from government schools made part of the top 20 students across the NT. A special congratulations to Methuli Kulasekara from The Essington School who was named the top NT student for her ATAR of 99.80 and a University Aggregate of 88.90, and Molly Suradi from Darwin High School who was named the top Aboriginal student for 2025.
Of the 1,536 students who successfully attained their NTCET this year, 257 were Aboriginal students, reflecting a significant and encouraging improvement. The NT also saw 69 students complete a modified NTCET, empowering young people with disabilities to achieve their certificate and pursue their chosen pathways.
This year has showcased remarkable accomplishments, with schools such as Numbulwar, Dundee Beach, and Ngukurr also celebrating outstanding NTCET milestones.
