Gray Primary School turns 40

Published

Palmerston’s first-ever school, Gray Primary School, celebrated its 40th anniversary recently with former and current teachers, principals and students.

Built in the era when Palmerston was Australia’s fastest growing city, Gray Primary School has always been known for its strong bond with the local community with successive generations of the same families attending.

Special guest and former student, Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro was on hand to talk to the current crop of students about her childhood experiences at Gray including some well used yellow painted spots on the concrete where students were sent for too much talking in class!

Students took to the stage delivering a range of special singing and dance performances. Happy birthday Gray Primary School. Congratulations on this terrific milestone.
