Building Better Schools

The Building Better Schools program will provide $300 000 to every school in the Northern Territory over a four year period. The program commenced in financial year 2017-18 and will conclude in financial year 2020-21.

The program provides new and improved school facilities to enhance students’ education experience and facilitate quality learning outcomes.

The non-government schools are provided with the $300 000 through a capital grant, subject to schools entering a funding agreement with the Department of Education (DoE). The successful schools are nominated by the non-government school peak associations. The Non-Government Schools Ministerial Advisory Council will be the conduit for communications from DoE.
