Exit Art: a treasury of talent
Exceptional works by Year 12 graduates of Territory government and non-government schools in Darwin, regional and remote communities, are on display at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
The annual exhibition opened on 13 March 2021.
Exit Art reveals the passions and personalities of 43 artists, and generates thought-provoking perspectives in subtle and stark tones.
The artworks use mediums such as synthetic polymer paint on board, film, gauche on canvas and embroidery hoops, Lino print, digital print, and Cyanotype on cotton fabric.
The inventive submissions attract the Minister’s Choice Award, the Darwin Visual Arts Award, Art Educators of the NT Award, Jackson’s Drawing Supplies Award, and the Tactile Arts’ Craft Award.
The 29th Exit Art is open to the public until 13 June 2021.
Exit Art is presented by the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and the Department of Education.
