Outback student Lyndon Anderson could be kicking his way into an AFL career.

The talented footballer of Wogyala School - sited on the Rockhampton Downs cattle station - has just finishing competing in Fiji as part of the Wanderers Football Club.

One of the 20-strong side making the two-week Suva stopover, the Aboriginal sports star was chosen for the U13/U14 four match test series after selectors saw his performances in Darwin, Perth and Canberra.

Lyndon’s mother Loretta Anderson said: "Lyndon is known for being the smallest player with the biggest skill set.

"With his amazing football skills he would love nothing more than to accomplish his life dream to make AFL a career."

The 12-year-old has represented the Territory many times in the past two years.
