Henbury students shine at style showcase
Two Henbury School students have eclipsed other contenders at a Time to Shine, an annual Charles Darwin University event highlighting the skills of hair and beauty career aspirants.
Jolina Lay and Jayden Marshall studied for the Certificate II Salon Assistant at the university for two years.
Jolina overhauled all competitors at the glamorous 22 August exposition, becoming the overall winner in the VETis category, and Jayden outdid first-year apprentices to claim the creativity prize.
Henbury School principal Carolyn Edwards said: “This is another example of the dedication of our staff and the outstanding abilities of our students.
“I congratulate them both, and in the wake of their success we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these young people.”
