Northern Territory Youth Business Awards 2017

The Northern Territory Youth Business Awards is an annual joint program between the Department of Education (DoE) and the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation (DTBI). The Awards, now in their twenty-ninth year, aim to promote the involvement of senior secondary school students in small business education, recognise student achievements and bring together industry and education to participate in the ongoing development of small business education.

There are three award categories:
* Category 1 – for students who have operated their own business
* Category 2 – for students who have developed an operational plan for a business, but have not had the opportunity to trade
* Category 3 – for students who have operated a business in a remote school

To be eligible to enter the awards, students must be enrolled in the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET), studying a subject that includes a small business or enterprise focus and planning or operating a small business at school.

Students may operate their business or create their operational plan at any time in Terms 1, 2 or 3.

Entries close: COB Friday 13 October 2017

Student winners in each category will receive cash prizes and participating schools receive certificates and money for their business faculty. All students will receive certificates acknowledging their participation.
